Samar Elmnhrawy has more than twenty years of human resources and business leadership experience in mid-size and large companies. She approaches her work with a passion for enabling organizations to achieve their ultimate potential, through engaged and competent people, outstanding leaders, and high-performing HR teams.

Based in Dubai, Ms Samar Elmnhrawy is currently the HR Vice President at Nissan Corporation, supporting Middle East, Africa and India (AMI) region. One of the fast growing Nissan markets globally. Nissan is one of the largest automotive companies, currently manufactures vehicles in 20 countries and offers products and services in more than 160 counties and areas worldwide. In her current role, Samar is also leading the HR Transformation and digitalization journey for Nissan.

Prior to Nissan, Ms Elmnhrawy was the Senior Human Resources Executive at Baker Hughes, a GE company — the world’s first and only fullstream provider of integrated oilfield products, services, and digital solutions, with operations in more than 120 countries. Ms Elmnhrawy spent 15 years of her career in Baker Hughes in Houston, Texas, her most recent roles included the positions of Vice President of HR Integration Planning for the merger of Baker Hughes and GE Oil & Gas, where she was responsible for the merger of the HR operating model, leadership and culture readiness, executive compensation plans, board governance in preparation for combining the two companies ($45bn merger). Prior to that, Ms Elmnhrawy served as HR Vice President of Global Operations, supporting 40K employees, leading 500 HR professionals, setting the strategic HR capital plans, and owning key organizational transformation projects.

Since 2000, Ms Elmnhrawy has served in various management and leadership roles at international companies and federal organizations, in the field of HR, operations line management, and business development. Her HR experience encompasses talent development, technical training, mergers and integration, and more. She has worked in the Middle East, Netherlands and the U.S.

Ms Elmnhrawy started her career as a chemical engineer after earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with honors from Cairo University in Egypt. She also earned a Master of Business Administration with honors from American University of Sharjah. She holds numerous other certificates and memberships, and speaks at various industry events.
